The
artwork of Marisa Azad is created on digital medium using Corel Painter™ software and a Wacom Cintiq 24HD Touch art tablet. After realising traditional oils aggravated her asthma as a child, Marisa transitioned to digital oil medium. Her artwork has been described as highly detailed and photorealistic; however, none of her artwork employs Photoshop or photography in any shape or form. Using digital oil paint, she primarily uses the Bristle Oil, Fine Camel, Detail Blender, and Runny blender brushes to make fine art that has been featured in galleries across Canada. Below is a short slideshow outlining some of the various stages of her paintings. She first begins with painting a simple backdrop and blocking. Next, she begins to add shadowing and details. Stay tuned for YouTube tutorial videos showing her workflow in Corel Painter™ software!
